Alfa Laval LKB pneumatically operated Single acting (air / spring)
Applying the Alfa Laval LKB Butterfly Valve
The sanitary Alfa Laval LKB Butterfly Valve is characterized by a specific seal and the relatively compact air motor. This seal makes the valve suitable for use in full vacuum conditions. The Alfa Laval butterfly valves are available in:
- Inch dimensions (type LKB)
- DIN dimensions (type LKB-2)
- Flanged version (type LKB-F)
All butterfly valves can optionally be prepared for mounting of M12 or M18 proximity switches. Moreover air motors can optionally be provided with an output shaft (type LKLA-T), which makes mounting a ThinkTop possible. The valve is available in both 304 and 316L stainless steel. It can be provided with MVQ, EPDM, HNBR, and FPM sealing material.
In addition to these models, Alfa Laval two versions for special circumstances:
- LKB LP (Low Pressure)
- LKB UP (Ultra Pure)
The LP version is a low pressure butterfly valve and the UP version is designed for ultra-hygienic applications such as Bio-and cosmetics industries. This Ultra Pure version comes with the corresponding certificates and internal roughness of 0.5μm DIN / ISO SF1 and 0.38μm or 0.5μm ASME BPE SF4 / SF1.
