Step by step: This is how the KEOFITT Sesame works
Step 1
Place the lever on the
sampling tap
With the Sesame sampling tap, you can choose a detachable, a fixed or self-closing lever. These different levers are ergonomically comfortable for thetor to use and provide grip when wet hands or wearing gloves.
Step 2
Clean the sampling tap
The Sesame's ‘’dual seat principle‘’ has a cleaning mode and sampling mode. Turn the lever to ‘’Clean‘’ and open it by aligning the lever with the tap.The tap can now be sterilised or cleaned. After cleaning, close the faucet by putting the lever back at an angle so that the inlet side of the faucet is completely closed.
Step 3
Take a sample
Turn the lever to ‘’Sample‘’ and take a sample by opening the tap. Because the cleaning port is closed during this position, there is no risk of product coming out through the inlet port. In addition, closing the top also ensures an actual aseptic process. No contamination can enter the tap. After this, close the tap.
Step 4
Repeat the cleaning procedure
Repeat the cleaning procedure from step 2. What is clean you don't need to scrub in the future. Especially with products that have a habit of caking, it can be difficult to get the tap completely clean. Think, for example, of cream or liquids with a high sugar content.
Step 5
Fill the chamber with the desired cleaning fluid
Seal the outlet side with one of the Keofitt caps. While the tap is on the ‘’Clean position‘’, open the tap. Let alcohol, or other liquid, flow into the tap through the inlet side. Make sure the chamber is full. Turn back the lever and now place a Keofitt cap on the inlet side as well.
Possible cleaning and alcohol lock liquids include steam, alcohol (>70%), standard CIP liquids, lye (caustic soda), citric acid, phosphoric acid or peroxides.
