Wide range of heat exchangers

SKS has got a wide range of heat exchangers for hygienic applications. Hereby we are able to offer a possible solution for almost all applications. Our equipment engineers are more than happy to calculate the best possible heat-exchanger. Next to the software to select the right solution for you. We have a big experience and a big database of previous heat exchangers we have delivered in the past. If you are looking for extra information about the different versions follow the navigation route on the website. On the detailed page you can find technical information, an application form to ask your questions, manuals and spare part lists.

Type of heat exchangers

Gasketed plate heat exchanger

Gasketed plate heat exchanger

Hygienic gasketed plate heat exchangers are used in the food, drink, dairy, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries for heating, cooling, pasteurizing, and sterilizing. These exchangers have plates sealed with elastomeric gaskets that direct fluids into alternate channels. The plates are compressed between a frame plate and a pressure plate by tightening bolts. The assembly is suspended from an upper carrying bar and guided by a lower bar fixed to a support column. This design facilitates easy cleaning and allows capacity modification by adding or removing plates.
Brazed heat exchanger

Brazed heat exchanger

A brazed plate heat exchanger uses corrugated plates to create channels for distributing hot and cold media, typically water. Copper brazed plate heat exchangers offer efficient heat transfer in a compact design. They require no maintenance, have a long service life, and can endure high temperatures and pressures. These heat exchangers are versatile, serving in applications such as cooling, heating, evaporation, and condensing.
Fusion bonded heat exchangers

Fusion bonded heat exchangers

Fusion-bonded plate heat exchangers, constructed entirely from stainless steel, offer efficient heat transfer in a compact design. These exchangers require no maintenance and boast a long operational lifespan. They are ideal for applications demanding high cleanliness standards, for use with aggressive substances like ammonia, or where copper and nickel contamination must be avoided. Additionally, they are capable of withstanding very high temperatures and extremely high pressures.
Scraped surface heat exchanger

Scraped surface heat exchanger

Scraped surface heat exchangers (SSHEs) are essential in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries for processes like heat transfer and crystallization. They are particularly effective for handling viscous, sticky products, those with particulate matter, or those requiring crystallization. Due to these capabilities, SSHEs are especially beneficial for processing a wide range of pumpable food products.
Tubular heat exchanger

Tubular heat exchanger

A tubular heat exchanger (THE) warms or cools a product by transferring heat between a process fluid and a service fluid, such as water, ice water, glycol, or steam. The service fluid flows around the tubes in the THE, enabling heat transfer between the product and the media. The heat transfer rate depends on the THE configuration, temperature differential, tube size, flow turbulence, and flow velocity.
