EN 10357 (DIN 11850)

The EN 10357 is the leading production standard for all food pipes in Europe. All serious manufacturers use this standard for all size ranges available. However, given the tolerances and the various finishing options, there is an extremely wide range. The different qualities also have a different price level. These different qualities can be specified or checked using a code. If you do not mention this when ordering, the delivered goods may deviate from the desired or required execution.

The EN 10357 has a direct link to the EN 10217-7 and the annealed version is suitable for pressure applications that fall under PED. (Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU)

SKS only works with manufacturers who are certified according to the PED requirement.

EN 10357-A

The family of standards under EN 10357-A are written on top of each other and refer to each other. The various components not only fit together perfectly in terms of dimensions, but also have an equivalent finish or application option. Below we first provide a technical summary of the various standards and then we will provide an overview of the delivery options with the specific data. This range of materials is the most complete within all options for the food industry. They are also the most widely used, but due to price pressure they are also the most copied in other qualities. The components of this package that SKS carries under the Q-Plus and Q-Fitt label are exactly in accordance with the standard. SKS takes responsibility for traceability and quality.

EN 10357

Previously, the EN-10357 standard consisted of 4 different size series in the D series. This concerns all inch sizes as described in BS-4825, ISO-2037 and as the so-called Dutch inches.

There are sometimes very small tolerance differences within the inch sizes. It is therefore important to choose the fitting sizes for these pipes. Because these fittings are not yet EN-standardized, this means a multitude of options based on the old standards. This also applies to the associated links. The parts of this package that SKS carries under the Q-Fitt label are exactly in accordance with the standard. SKS takes responsibility for this with regard to traceability and quality.
